I'm sure many of you were singing the song in your head as you read the above words from Mariah Carey's famous 1993 hit, "Hero." Whether you love it or hate it, the song message has a powerful truth to it.
When things around us seem impossible, and we don't know what to or how to or where to, the most simplest place to look is within rather than out. We so often forget, or get caught up in the humdrum and rat race of life and chaos, especially at epic rate that we find the world around us operating at, that we fail to just take that moment to look inside ourselves. More so, in times of recent, focusing on one's self and being centred around self has been seen as selfish rather than necessary. As a result, many fail to realise or even be aware of the amazing inner strength that resides within us..
And so today, I encourage you to take some time - whether 5 minutes or an hour.. or however much you can spare, to acknowledge and appreciate who and what you are. Look at where you are in your life and how far you've come. Big or small, tiny or minuscule or massive and earth-shattering, honour those amazing milestones on your journey and CELEBRATE the hero that lies within YOU!
Remember - YOU are AMAZING! And you're the only one of a kind that ever is and will be... Own your amazingness and share it with the world. And always hold hope that YOU can do and get through anything and everything that comes on your path... one thing, one moment, one situation at a time.
